Wow! This past weekend was a busy one for the Destiny girls. On Saturday, we headed to the adoption picnic, ate snow cones and enjoyed bouncy houses, while celebrating all the children who have been adopted through foster care.

On Sunday, we had a handful of Destiny’s adoptive families gather together. This annual event is one of our favorites! We get to see the families and babies that we are blessed to walk the journey of adoption with. Last year’s crawling babies were running and climbing! Catching up is always fun.

For the families who were attending for the first time, it was an amazing opportunity to connect with other families and share stories from the amazing adventure called “adoption.”

Plans for an adoptive family support/play group were discussed between our families and phone numbers exchanged. Lifetime connections were made.

All of us at Destiny feel so blessed to be part of building families, the forever kind, ones that connect because of one simple yet complex, beautiful, but painful, loaded word, ADOPTION.
